Medium bio (250 chararcters)
Yes We Are is a genre-blurring alt-pop band turning raw emotion into arena-ready anthems. Built on the belief that music should be as limitless as the people who make it, the band blends soaring hooks, cinematic production, and vulnerable storytelling into a sound that’s both deeply personal and unapologetically massive.
Fronted by dynamic vocalist Dylan Bode, and shaped alongside multi-instrumentalist and producer Reed Knutsen — formerly of Mission of the Metro — Yes We Are creates songs that speak to the messy, powerful, and universal experience of being human. Their sound draws on everything from art rock and classic pop to the spiritual swell of Springsteen, Queen, and Coldplay.
Their upcoming debut EP, arriving September 5, introduces a bold new voice to the alt-pop scene. Lead singles “Daisy” and “Arrow” showcase emotional range and sonic ambition: one a shimmering meditation on love and vulnerability, the other a defiant anthem about letting go and beginning again.
Known for electric live shows that mix cathartic singalongs with emotionally raw performances, Yes We Are transforms the stage into a space of connection and release. It’s music made to be felt — by everyone.
At its core, Yes We Are is more than a name. It’s a statement of belonging. Of openness. Of sound without borders and hearts without walls. Whether you’re dancing, crying, or both at once, Yes We Are is a reminder that you’re not alone — and you don’t have to be quiet about it.
Long bio (500 words)
Yes We Are is a genre-blurring alt-pop band turning raw emotion into arena-ready anthems. Built on the belief that music should be as limitless as the people who make it, the band blends soaring hooks, cinematic production, and vulnerable storytelling into a sound that feels both deeply personal and unapologetically massive.
Fronted by Dylan Bode — a powerhouse vocalist and multi-instrumentalist with a range as wide as Freddie Mercury and the emotional depth of early Coldplay — Yes We Are was born from a desire to create music that speaks directly to the parts of us that don’t fit neatly into boxes. Queer, dramatic, fiercely honest, and often unclassifiable, their sound nods to glam rock, art pop, and indie soul, while forging something entirely new.
The band’s debut EP (dropping September 5) introduces listeners to a world of emotional intensity and wide-open sonic ambition. Lead singles “Daisy” and “Arrow” showcase the range: one a shimmering, vulnerable love letter; the other, a driving, defiant anthem about self-trust and starting over. Every track is crafted with theatrical precision, layered in rich harmonies, expressive lyrics, and a cinematic scale meant to move both the body and the heart.
Yes We Are’s live shows are where it all comes to life — part rock concert, part confession, part glitter-soaked revival. Whether playing small clubs or festival stages, the band delivers performances that feel like communion, complete with cathartic singalongs, electric stage presence, and a genuine connection with the crowd.
Behind the sound is a tightly-knit creative team, many of whom double as producers, visual directors, and collaborators. It’s a project rooted in trust, experimentation, and a shared mission to make music that leaves people feeling more seen and less alone.
With a name that’s both a declaration and a challenge, Yes We Are is more than just a band — it’s a statement of identity, of resilience, of power. It’s a reminder that we don’t have to shrink ourselves to fit a scene. We can build our own.

EP description
Into This Garden is the debut concept EP from Yes We Are, and the beginning of a creative vision where every release tells a larger story. This first chapter centers around the garden — both as a physical space and a powerful metaphor for healing, growth, and rebirth.
Written during a major life transition, Into This Garden reflects the journey of leaving behind what no longer serves you and stepping fully into something unknown but deeply authentic. The EP captures the emotional landscape of that shift: the fear, the beauty, the moments of stillness, and the radical hope of starting over.
Each track is a different stop along the garden path, and it its core, Into This Garden is about second chances. It’s about honoring the parts of yourself that have waited patiently to bloom. It’s an open gate, an invitation, and a promise: you can grow something beautiful, no matter where you’ve been.
This is the start of a series of concept-driven records from Yes We Are, each one exploring a different emotional terrain — but all rooted in the same core truth: we’re here to feel it all, together.
Songs & lyrics
Daisy
🌼 “Daisy” is, at its heart, a song about respect; the kind that runs deeper than tolerance or acceptance. It’s about truly honoring someone for who they are and letting them know, in both words and presence, I see you. I hear you. You matter.
When someone tells you who they are, believing them is an act of love.
This song came from a place of wanting to give that back to someone; to reflect their light, to lift them up, and to make sure they feel safe and celebrated.
This song is for anyone who’s ever needed to be called by the right name, spoken to with care, or simply reminded that they deserve respect.

🏹 “Arrow” is about taking the shot, even when you’re scared, even when you don’t know where it’s going to land. It’s a song about courage, joy, and trusting the light inside you, especially when the path ahead isn’t clear.
It’s a celebration of identity, of presence, of finally letting yourself be seen. It’s not about perfection. It’s about showing up for yourself.
This is the kind of song you play when you need a reminder that your life, despite being messy, loud, brilliant, is worth stepping into. It’s not just encouragement. It’s a call to action about bold release. Fire it off and watch it soar.

🌿 “Into This Garden” is the heart of the EP. It’s a song about arriving somewhere safe, somewhere new, and somewhere you belong. It captures the moment of choosing a new life and saying yes to creativity, uncertainty, and something truer than the previous path you were walking.
The lyrics feel are both an invitation and an affirmation. The garden is a metaphor for healing, imagination, and the world we grow when we finally give ourselves permission to start again. For Dylan Bode and Reed Knutsen, that meant leaving their careers to fully step into music.
“You’re welcome into this garden.” That’s the message behind Yes We Are. A place for anyone ready to step away from who they were told to be and into who they really are. Into This Garden isn’t just a title, but a statement of belonging, and an invitation to begin.
